Life of an Intern

The thought of waking up early, bathing with a bucket of water as cold as ice, looking for the right cloth to wear so as not to depress rather than impress the people he is under, standing for as long as he doesn't want to in wait for a vehicle to board, and the workload of the day plus assignments, is enough to make him not go to work the next day.

The money spent on transportation everyday for the next 6 months is enough to eat for a year, and the fact that he won't be paid where he works is depressing enough, demoralising his every attitude or intention towards making a good impression for himself in the eyes of Erica.

Then again he comes to work God willing and is told to slave himself for the others. What bothers him is that the people he works with don't even care to share the labour generously.

Precisely what consoles him is the thought that when he is done with the internship, he would have gained enough knowledge and experience to sustain him enough to be a Boss. His own boss? Or a boss to his boss' worker? That's left for him to decide.

Education is not just the ability to decode words. It is also to know the forces limiting your life and being able to restrain it. Focus on what's more important.
