For the love of money.

Finding the cash, getting the cash, and spending the cash is mostly all there is to it.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

The unsatisfaction and unease is understandable and very necessary when there is nothing. But when there is too much, and you still are unsatisfied, and go on to deprive the layman of his rightful pass to his cash, you have a problem, and you have failed.

When we don't give and expect to get back, we should expect nothing less than nothing. You can't hold on to a 5 Naira note and expect something worth that note when you don't give it. We hold onto it until we die and it becomes useless.

That's how we hold onto the love of money and more want for it and all the material things we get through it that we rule out what could also be more important. Someone who says that what is better than money is more money has come across other things of life, but hasn't felt what one could sacrifice money for.

Money is good. Great in fact... Money is over useful, but Money isn't everything.

Style Crush *!!* Yemi Alade

Our Style Crush for today is the Afro Pop Singer Yemi Eberechi Alade, popularly known as Yemi Alade, who came into the limelight after winning the maiden edition of the Peak Talent Show in 2009.

Yemi has been trumpeting her glamorous style ever since, and I’m sure she did so quite well before that too, with such beauty which clearly tells me that fashion could be her second religion.

She has the image, quality, color, style, design, and beauty of fashion that is very appealing. A style one could really want to steal or learn from.

Fashion is what she buys, but style is obviously what she does with it!

Check out her new video “Pose” ft R2Bees.

Life of an Intern

The thought of waking up early, bathing with a bucket of water as cold as ice, looking for the right cloth to wear so as not to depress rather than impress the people he is under, standing for as long as he doesn't want to in wait for a vehicle to board, and the workload of the day plus assignments, is enough to make him not go to work the next day.

The money spent on transportation everyday for the next 6 months is enough to eat for a year, and the fact that he won't be paid where he works is depressing enough, demoralising his every attitude or intention towards making a good impression for himself in the eyes of Erica.

Then again he comes to work God willing and is told to slave himself for the others. What bothers him is that the people he works with don't even care to share the labour generously.

Precisely what consoles him is the thought that when he is done with the internship, he would have gained enough knowledge and experience to sustain him enough to be a Boss. His own boss? Or a boss to his boss' worker? That's left for him to decide.

Education is not just the ability to decode words. It is also to know the forces limiting your life and being able to restrain it. Focus on what's more important.

The heart that loves you

The rules about what constitutes infidelity are different for everyone, and you probably shouldn't let me or anyone else give you a premade prescription for setting comfortable boundaries and expectations in your relationship.

But how bad is your relationship that you are trying to find an easy way out of that unpleasant situation, cheating your way out knowing quite well how out you will be eventually. You have a friend that you have a secret relationship with. Could be friends with benefits or emotions could be involved, and you tell yourself that it's okay because to you no healthy, sane person can possibly get everything they need from just one person.

What more could you need from your partner that you are not satisfied with all what he or she brings to the table including him/herself. You can't be in love with someone you cheat on. What kind of love is that if you are comfortable hurting your significant other? That's not love, that's greed.

You get too comfortable because you were told that a person who truly loves you will never leave you no matter how hard the situation is. Part of the reasons why we hold unto something so tight is because we fear something so great won't happen twice, and that's how we misunderstand life and love. The love and faithfulness your partner has to offer you shouldn't let you think otherwise. Forgive the heart that hurt you, but don't hurt the heart that loves you.

What to do this weekend!

You can’t be bothered about the office or class right now, but what to do this weekend.  It’s Saturday! Stay home or go out to make way for a good time before the week returns to try to break you. That’s why we make them pay for all the work at the end of the day in the first place.

Life scares you and beats you up, but there’s a day you realize that you are not just a survivor, you are a warrior!

It’s good to work hard, and it’s good to stay hard. But it’s also good to let loose. Too much work can kill a soul who doesn’t know how to let loose. The weekend may just be the perfect days for you to let loose to something. To a movie, to a party, to friends, to the beach, or to anywhere that can surely please you, and make you happy.

There’s work, there’s play, and then there’s rest. After all the work and all the play, get enough rest to last you throughout the whole week ahead of you.

Remember that the value of life does not depend upon the place we occupy, but upon the way we occupy that place.

Happy Weekend!!!

How else?..

It has come to the point where our minds are hardened and set against the simple sanity of brotherliness. The contrite heart no longer devotes itself completely to what its other half is willing to always make complete.

It stays standing on the loophole of shady carelessness. Being relentless on misjudging that contrite heart ever so fond of the art of tearing it apart.

How else can you make it believe, while at the same time you grieve the loss of fortunes that came with it and made you submit while you stayed by it. For that while did you realise you were never coming back to recommit when the other half would never permit.

How else can you do it?
How else can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should become?.

Don't just feel it... Show it!

Loving isn't the same as showing the love we feel. We claim to love, but don't show it and to some of us, it isn't all that necessary as long as we feel it.

We can't fully understand love until we connect and feel by also making them feel that they are loved. It is not enough to say you love someone. Love is only just a word until you give it a proper meaning.

We say we love our country, but what are the little things we do to help even the citizens, and ourselves. We say we love God, but are we really true to him? Are we true to our neighbours, family, friends, and lovers, or do we take cover when we find them in need of something you can make them recover from.

Show the love you say you feel, and let it not be something just anyone can steal.

Your character evaluation

How badly can you want attention? How far are you willing to go in order to get that attention you so crave for that suppresses the fear of misjudgement when it comes to knowing the kind of person you are.

You are faithful, strong, you don't need proof. You want that known chosen concentration because you are not satisfied with the mere knowledge of it, so you need proof.

When a person really desires something, the universe conspires to help that person, but at what cost, and for how long?

And then you suffer from resentment without the knowledge of the fact that resentment is like drinking poison and hoping it will kill your enemies.

Let your emotional attachment take a back seat to character evaluation. It'll surely save you the heart break.

Style Crush *!!* Patoranking

Today's Style Crush is the 25 year old Nigerian Reggae - dancehall singer and songwriter, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, popularly known by his stage name Patoranking.

Having started his music career doing underground collaborations with artists like XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone, 'Wha Ya Say' has obviously come a very long way since then.

Pato's genre of music beautifully aligns with his personal sense of style making him all the more appealing to watch. He knows how to draw the attention of both the ladies and the gents to himself with his rugged but frosh everything.

His style of music does justice every time with every hit track, and he can do the reggae, and the boyish look so well that I can't help but admire and appreciate. Wha Ya Say?

Who says you aren't good enough?

Mourinho named Mikel as one of the outstanding players in the Blues 1- 0 victory over hosts Sydney FC in their post- season friendly in Australia for a reason.

The single act in 2006 that changed his fortunes when he was faced with the option of either joining Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United or joining Mourinho's emerging Chelsea team when the Roman Abramovich revolution was massively taking shape with stars like Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, and Claude Makelele forming the core of the blues midfield at the time, made most people come to the conclusion that that was going to be the end of Mikel's career, but that didn't stop him from playing football and trying his hardest to be where he is now. Clearly, if Mikel could go back to change the decision he made, he would have been a better player now.

Doing whatever makes you happy makes you do it best. Sometimes it's best to allow your head to be stronger than your heart or your physiology. Who says you aren't good enough?.

Don't let anyone tell you that you are not strong enough to carry the weight of hate, of jealousy, and most importantly, of what people expect from you. Don't give up, because there is nothing wrong with just being yourself as long as there is the willingness and more room for improvement.

If you could go back and change just one thing about your life. Would you? And if you do, would that change make your life better, or worse?.

You can do this!

The reason for your being and existence should be reason enough to keep you going. Never let the fear of the unknown hold you back from the things you really want. Say Yes to No, and have it your way with the faith you have in yourself.

Let that faith be big enough to carry you over all the No's and excuses you'll come across in your life. Let it carry you to that place you want to be, and have them wonder how you did it even if there was no doubt you could.

Don't ever doubt yourself for you are far more capable than you know. Release that doubt and fear, then you would be great without having to worry that there are better people than yourself. You are great already, you just haven't completely believed it yet.

You are your own person. There is no two of you to argue about who is the better one, and who has more chances of winning. You are a natural, and you have the best chances that God has set for you to take hold of without hesitation.

Take it one step at a time, and understand that there is no better person to take the lead. You may not be the best, but you are definitely the best. Your own best. And there is no other best that could compete with the rest without having a chance to win.

Don't relax, and don't hesitate. The smart ass that you are shouldn't sit and wait for the call but will make them call. You are destined for greatness is a cliché that shouldn't tire of playing over and over again in your head.

You are destined for great things dear, you should know that by now. But it isn't just about knowing. It is also about understanding, and believing in it, and in yourself.

Make things happen, because you can. Then watch how things turn out. Trust me, you'll surprise yourself before surprising everyone else.

Accepting what love is.

We think we know too much about love, but we don't. We think we understand the meaning of what love is, but we are deceived by what we know to be it.

Love is other things, and accepting. Accepting what they are, who they are, who they want to be, and who they will be for the way they are.

Judging our friends, family, and lovers based on who or what they can't be isn't  what love really is because we are yet to quit judging and expecting the worst.

Rather than judging, we ought to help them when they need us to. Life comes at us from out of the darkness, and when it does, it is the people who love us that we can count on.

Love is blind, but it doesn't have to be without direction, and  Love does not seek its own, it looks out for the interests of the object of its own affection.

Your fragrance and you!

Your fragrance is an essential part of your wardrobe but most people don't know that so they don't take it seriously.

A person obviously appreciates you better when you smell nice rather than awful. They hang around a little bit longer than they should with pleasure rather than being thoughtful on how best to leave your sight twice as fast.

Dressing up good and wearing the best of make up can't be complete without the scent you should wear.

Be familiar with your body to know what works for it and what's best for it without having reactions and little side effects like the stink that wasn't there before.

To properly apply your fragrance, you could start with the lower part of your body, including knees and ankles, then apply the scent on your wrists and behind the ears.

Find a fragrance that will complete your character, highlight your individuality, and inspire you to excel. A fragrance that's worth every penny you spent, for it completes your fashion.
